Two MTS Android phones now out for less than 5k

MTS recently launched two new Android smartphones called MTS Livewire and MTS MTAG 3.1 in sub Rs. 5k price range. Both these handsets have Snapdragon S1 processors inside and are running on CDMA EV-DO Rev A technology. These phones have support for high quality voice and net enabled data services.

MTS MTag 3.1 and MTS LivewireVsevolod Rozanov, the president and the chief executive officer of MTS India said that he was pleased to launch these two cell phones here in India having Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 chips inside. They are doing this to bring Android to the masses. Rozanov also said at sub Rs. 5k range, these will be one of the most affordable Android smartphone available in the country.

MTS MTAG 3.1 has a 2.8 inches capacitive touchscreen display having a resolution of 240×320 pixels. The audio and video player supports multiple formats and there is a 3.5 mm headphones jack. For photography enthusiasts, there is a 3.2 megapixels camera. S

MTS TV app gives access to On demand video playback and Live TV. Tehre is also Google Mail, Google Talk, YouTube, and Google Maps. Powerful Voice Search will let users find information without typing anything.

Huawei CEO Max Yang said that they are delighted to partner along with MTS India for bringing these really affordable Android cell phones. He also acknowledged the good features on the MTS MTAG 3.1.

MTS Live Wire, on the other hand, has support for CDMA EV-DO network and it gives you high speed Internet access. This device also gives easy access to YouTube, Google Mail, Google Maps, and Google Talk.
