Introduction
Samsung Replenish is the most economically and environmentally friendly smartphone, which helps you stay connected with work,
with friends and with Earth. It uses recyclable and recycled plastics plus environmentally friendly packaging. You can feel good about Mother Earth, and still text your mom with its full QWERTY keyboard. The large 2.8-inch Quarter View Graphics Array (QVGA) touchscreen display offers every color found in nature and runs on Android 2.3, Gingerbread, which is unquestionably one of the most versatile and popular operating systems of any smartphone. As an Android device, you will have access to more than 1000 applications to customize your phone like no other.
With its 2.0-megapixel camera, the Samsung Replenish can capture fun, spontaneous photos. Then you can be just as spontaneous and quickly upload your new shots to your favorite social networking site. It also offers Android 2.3 Gingerbread, QWERTY keyboard and surprisingly decent 2.0-megapixel camera. Remember that Replenish is the entry level smartphone and you might enjoy the QWERTY keyboard and camera. It was formerly revealed in spring 2011 and features Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, portrait QWERTY keyboard for complementing its touchscreen and Mobile ID. Besides, it is a basic Android handset available for the price of Rs. 5000.
Design
The Samsung Replenish looks identical to that of BlackBerry with smallish touchscreen display topping vertical QWERTY keyboard. Like other smartphones, the Replenish is black with silver accents, measuring 4.8 inches high, 0.5 inch thick and 2.4 inches wide and weighs 4.1 ounces. One of the exquisite features found on this model is the QVGA 2.8-inch touchscreen display that boasts 16 million color support and 240 x 320 pixel resolution. As low as resolution is compared with proprietary devices such as Samsung’s HD Super AMOLED and Super AMOLED displays, it is appropriate for its screen size. Sharpness and colors are decent.

Underneath the Samsung Replenish’s screen, you will find four hardware buttons, which correspond to menu, search, home and back functions. And underneath it, is the QWERTY four-row keyboard with rounded buttons raised above the surface and backlit. However, the keyboard is slightly cramped and keys are not that responsive or grippy as found on other smartphones. The volume rocker button is located on the left hand side of the device, while camera shutter and voice command button on the right. The 3.5mm headphone jack and power button are situated on top of the smartphone, while the microUSB charging port at the bottom. The rear facing 2.0-megapixel camera is at the back, while the microSD memory card slot behind the battery cover, which supports 32GB card.
Mobile ID
Powering the Samsung Replenish is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with Mobile ID. Some of the Android offerings include wallpaper, applications, widgets, shortcuts and more. The Mobile ID is less obtrusive as compared to before.
Features
Like other Android Gingerbread smartphones, the Samsung Replenish comes with Bluetooth, Facebook, Twitter, GPS, message inbox for Exchange, POP and IMAP accounts, Wi-Fi and integrated email. It also features Google Maps with turn by turn navigation, standard music player, Google Talk for chatting, YouTube and Google Places. Some of the usual applications include clock, calendar and calculator. Other preloaded applications are ThinkFree Office and Boost Zone. Its 2.0-megapixel rear facing camera is quite impressive with clear looking images and vibrant colors. It offers editing options for presets for self timer, color balance, night mode and more.
