LG HBM-900 – with three noise cancellations mics

We all know that LG makes good quality Bluetooth headsets, it is not a new player in this industry. However, this manufacturer was struggling to match the noise reduction and audio quality standards that its competitors have set. The company has attempted to match the high standards set by others with the LG HBM-900. It has three microphones inside for reducing the background noise. There are also features here that you’d find only on high end headsets like auto reconnection, multi-point and auto volume control. I[...] Read full story »

Jabra BT2020 Bluetooth Headset – Goofy with speaker orientation

Jabra says that the Jabra BT2020 is a discrete headset but I think otherwise. The design might be different as compared to a traditional headset but it will certainly draw anyone’s attention. The odd form factor does come with a few benefits though – for instance, the battery life is excellent (courtesy of the big behind-the-ear design) and the price tag too is relatively affordable. If you are fine with a bit of weirdness then you will get a decent quality Bluetooth headset for a pocket friendly price. Voice[...] Read full story »

There are a lot of cheapo Bluetooth headsets out there and the LG HBM-235 is one of them. It is a really basic Bluetooth headset without any fancy design or features like A2DP streaming. Samsung HS3000 Bluetooth stereo headset – Compact and small

Samsung HS3000 is a stereo Bluetooth headset and a stereo Bluetooth pendant. Just like Jabra Clipper, this one is made for clipping it to your shirt and there is a 3.5 mm headphones also. This means you can also use your own headphones along with it. The manufacturer has put in its own earbuds inside which I really liked. Samsung HS3000 is different from other stereo Bluetooth headsets; there is an option to toggle through the different preset sound modes. The price of this device isn’t known because Samsung hasn’t[...] Read full story »

Sony Ericsson HBH-610 – Steep price but great quality

Sony Ericsson HBH-610 is another Bluetooth headset from SE and it is made for business users. This device has a penlike slime form factor and is quite compact. That said, it is certainly bulky considering the fact that most manufacturers are moving towards smaller headsets like Jabra JX10 and Motorola H700. Sony Ericsson HBH-610 has a really comfortable fit and the sound quality too is good. The default colour scheme is silver and black but there are two more decorative panels of bevelled grey and black. The price of[...] Read full story »

Samsung WEP500 Bluetooth headset – Tiny yet powerful

Before this, I got the Motorola H9 Miniblue in my offices for review which was the tinniest Bluetooth headset I had ever since. Now, Samsung has launched a Bluetooth headset that is just as tiny. It is called Samsung WEP500 and is lighter than Miniblue. Don’t be fooled by the size though, this device has advanced noise reduction technology inside the automatic volume control which gives you great audio quality. There is also a compact charging case bundled with the device. On the other side the button placement on[...] Read full story »

Samsung HM3700 – both mono and stereo profiles

A lot of Bluetooth headsets come with A2DP functionality these days which means you can wirelessly stream audio. But the listening experience on the mono headsets isn’t the same as that on the stereo ones, particularly in terms of music. You can buy stereo headsets but in situations like calling in cars, mono headsets are the best. Now we have mono-to-stereo convertible headset like the Plantronics Voyager 855. I got the Samsung HM3700 in my offices for review. At first sight, it looks just like an ordinary Bluetooth[...] Read full story »

LG HBS-700 – Unique and comfortable design

LG isn’t a new name to the world of stereo Bluetooth headsets. In fact, this company has made a lot of different Bluetooth devices like the compact HBS-200 and gym-friendly HBS-250. This company mostly uses behind the neck design for their headsets and this tradition is continued on LG HBS-700 too. This device has plenty of innovative improvements which make it different from the predecessors. It is really comfortable and hence I am calling this one as one of the best designed headsets to date. Design LG[...] Read full story »
